A Platform for Established Names and Emerging Talent

For the first time, designers Paloma Cepeda, Francisca López León, Santiago Artemis, and Agustina Escobar presented their collections, bringing fresh perspectives and distinctive creative identities to the runway. Their participation highlighted the event’s commitment to encouraging originality and ensuring the continued evolution of Argentina’s fashion industry.

Fashion, Sustainability, and Cultural Heritage

Beyond the runway, the event also celebrated the country’s rich artisanal traditions through Emprendedores de Nuestra Tierra. The initiative showcased a collection representing local producers, textile designers, and artisans from across Argentina, featuring products made entirely by hand.

With a strong emphasis on sustainability, organic design, and traditional craftsmanship, the project aimed to preserve Argentina’s cultural heritage while supporting regional economies. It offered a compelling example of how fashion can serve as a bridge between creativity, responsible production, and community development.

The program extended beyond seasonal collections, incorporating special presentations and activities that broadened the event’s appeal.

On Friday, March 13, the Mujeres Protagonistas runway presentation returned for its tenth consecutive season, organized by Clarín newspaper’s Mujer supplement. Under the hosting of journalist María Laura Santillán, the show celebrated real, authentic women and their individual stories.

On Saturday, March 14, the Salón San Isidro hosted a new edition of Bodas & Fiestas, a presentation dedicated to bridal and special-occasion fashion.

Monday, March 16, featured a series of additional activities, including a trends workshop led by Carla Rodríguez and Fabián Medina Flores, as well as a makeup workshop conducted by renowned makeup artist Mabby Autino. Later that evening, at 9:30 p.m., Silkey presented collections by Benito Fernández, Verónica de la Canal, Sarah Jessy Jones, José Valosen, and Gabriel Lage.

The Art of Beauty and Styling

Complementing the designers’ creations, the beauty and styling teams played an essential role in bringing each collection to life. Makeup was directed by Mabby Autino, while hairstyling was entrusted to Leo Cosenza. Mora provided hosiery, and Ruma supplied footwear, completing the looks presented on the runway.

The event’s public relations were handled by Express News, audiovisual press by Najun-Funes Comunicaciones, and social media communications by Vidal Rivas Comunicaciones.

A Celebration of Argentine Fashion

Argentina Fashion Week Autumn–Winter 2015 was supported by a distinguished group of partners, including the National Ministry of Tourism, Silkey Mundial, Colgate Luminous White, Fiat, Jean Pierre, Hausbrot, Clarín Mujer, Para Ti, and Banco Provincia.

Organized by Vidal Rivas Producciones and directed by Héctor, Manuela, and Valentín Vidal Rivas, the 42nd edition of BAAM brought together established designers, emerging talent, artisanal traditions, and the wider fashion community.

More than a showcase of seasonal trends, the event offered a portrait of Argentine fashion in motion: an industry balancing its celebrated creative heritage with new voices, sustainable practices, and an evolving vision of contemporary style.
